Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium Recognized by SEAONC
Staff in our San Francisco office recently attended the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) SEE Awards ceremony, where the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium project won an Award of Merit in the Historic Preservation category. The project also received the first SEAONC People’s Choice Award, which was voted on by attendees during the event.
We provided seismic retrofit services for the two-thousand-seat auditorium. As a part of our retrofit work, we designed a new horizontal steel truss that could be installed above the existing roof so that interior stage equipment and rigging could remain in place, protected during construction.
