Fulton County Courthouse Design/Build Restoration: Multi-Award Winning Historic Restoration in Georgia

 

The Fulton County Courthouse (a.k.a. The Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse) in Atlanta, Georgia, has a rich history dating back to its construction in 1914. A $20M restoration of the facade and replacement of the roof was completed in August 2021, five months ahead of schedule and on budget.

In this article, WJE architectural engineer Brett Laureys and Boston Valley Terra Cotta's John Krouse share their approach and key takeaways from this multi-award winning historic restoration project.
