Ryan Wilborne

Senior Associate


Ryan Wilborne has experience with numerous markets including healthcare, higher education, government, commercial mixed-use, and multifamily residential. Mr. Wilborne has performed new construction design, condition assessments, forensic investigations, repair design, and field performance testing of a variety of construction types and building enclosure systems including; masonry cavity wall, masonry mass wall, terra cotta, metal panel, metal siding, glazed aluminum curtain wall and storefronts, and roofing and waterproofing. He is particularly interested in the design and commissioning of high-performing rainscreen systems. 

Mr. Wilborne is actively involved in building envelope consulting services, including peer review, design assistance, water/air leakage investigations, construction phase observation, and building enclosure commissioning (BECx) projects. The majority of his completed work is located in metropolitan Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Construction Troubleshooting

  • WakeMed North Hospital - Raleigh, NC: Design and on-site construction phase observation of a sixty-one-bed hospital renovation and expansion project to an existing medical office building; project also involved the design and phased construction of a campus central energy plant
