Kyle Grunder

Experience

Kyle Grunder’s experience includes design peer review and construction quality assurance of curtain wall, point-supported glass, and metal panel assemblies, as well as their transitions with adjacent systems. He has provided water infiltration testing as well as field and plant observations for new and existing projects. Mr. Grunder is also an FAA certified drone pilot and is an active part of WJE’s initiative to include advanced unmanned aerial systems, as part of our building enclosure services.  

Mr. Grunder manages various projects—ranging from forensic investigations of air and water infiltration through vertical and horizontal building enclosure components to repair design and construction administration to ensure conformance with the project documents.

  • Texas Children’s Hospital, Tower E - Houston: Comprehensive facade observations for curtain wall, ribbon window, and prefinished precast deficiencies
  • University of Houston - TX: Campus-wide, post-Hurricane Harvey supplementary drone-aided observations of roof and facade conditions
