James M. Brown

Experience

James Brown has broad-based experience in the assessment and repair design for building envelope systems subject to water infiltration. His experience in condition surveys has included prepurchase surveys and storm damage assessments. Mr. Brown has performed design peer reviews, has developed repair designs and construction documents, and has provided construction administration and observation services for a variety of structures, including commercial buildings, residences, airports, convention centers, hotels, plazas, and stadiums.

Mr. Brown has investigated problems in building envelope systems constructed with such materials as marble, terra cotta, concrete, masonry, glass, stucco, EIFS, and roofing and waterproofing assemblies. His work has included the development of repair documents for these materials. Mr. Brown is also a member of WJE’s Difficult Access Team.
