Richard A. Walther



Richard Walther has extensive experience in the inspection and evaluation of building and bridge structures that exhibit distress and deterioration. He has particular interest in the field of nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and has developed considerable experience in the use of NDE techniques for the assessment of steel, masonry, and concrete buildings and bridges. Mr. Walther has in-depth experience in bridge testing and fatigue and fracture investigations having completed over forty load tests. He has developed and delivered training on bridge construction inspection and bridge rehabilitation design for the National Highway Institute.

Mr. Walther has completed numerous building envelope studies, particularly involving steel curtain wall and historic masonry systems. His experience includes facade inspection and repair design of high- and mid-rise structures involving distress to envelope components.
