Paul E. Gaudette

Experience

Since joining WJE in 1984, Paul Gaudette has investigated several hundred structures exhibiting conditions of distress and deterioration in a variety of materials, including concrete, brick masonry, stone, stucco, terra cotta, steel, wood, and curtain wall facades. Mr. Gaudette has participated in the evaluation and development of recommendations for repair of modern and historic concrete structures and other distress conditions; selection of coatings for exterior facades; design of anchorage details; water penetration testing; preparation of repair drawings and specifications; and field observation during construction. He has also performed investigations, analysis, and repair design to address distress conditions in structural and nonstructural components of reinforced concrete parking garages.

Mr. Gaudette is the author of numerous papers and articles and has given professional seminars on building envelope maintenance, repair, moisture, and thermal-related issues. He was lead instructor for four two-day workshops on repair of historic concrete for the Association for Preservation Technology International. He also is an instructor for the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Seminar Series, Concrete Repair Basics, and the two-day Concrete Repair Workshop.
