John R. Kintz

Experience

Since joining WJE in 2017, John Kintz has been involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of an assortment of new and existing structures. His project experience includes the evaluation, design, and rehabilitation of different steel, concrete, and masonry structures.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Kintz worked on a number of steel and prestressed concrete projects at the University of Texas at Austin as a graduate research assistant. His research focused on the stability bracing of steel girder systems by engaging the shear diaphragm stiffness of precast concrete deck panels. Mr. Kintz was also involved in research that examined the impact of variations in geometry and internal bracing configurations on the performance and constructability of steel trapezoidal box girders.
