John D. Reins

Experience

John Reins has been involved for more than thirty-five years in the analysis, testing, inspection, monitoring, and repair of structural and architectural systems. He first joined WJE in 1977 as a project engineer in Northbrook, Illinois. Mr. Reins participated in the establishment of the WJE Denver office in 1982 and served as its branch manager through 1987. After working for two other consulting firms, he returned to WJE in 2000.

Mr. Reins has investigated numerous structural failures. In addition, he has performed many field and laboratory tests on structural systems involving a wide range of building materials. Since moving to Colorado in 1982he has devoted a significant portion of his time to the evaluation of structural distress due to unstable soils. Mr. Reins has investigated and repaired numerous commercial, municipal, and residential structures damaged by expansive and collapsing soils.
