John C. Shook

Associate III


John Shook joined WJE in 2017 with seventeen years of experience in building envelope evaluation and design. His expertise includes facade assessment and repair and rehabilitation of various facades, including aluminum frame glazing systems, thin stone veneers, masonry, and exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS). Mr. Shook’s technical knowledge comprises coatings and sealants, windows/curtain walls/skylights, and disaster response.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Shook worked at Childress Engineering Services, where he was involved in numerous high-profile projects across the United States, providing project management, design and fabrication of complex unitized curtain wall facades, on-site quality assurance for replacement and repair of exterior walls, and on-site safety and construction administration services.
