Corrosion-resistant Fasteners and Evaluation of Corrosion Effects of Wood Treatments

AC257 establishes guidelines for evaluation of the corrosion resistance of fasteners that are exposed to a combination of wood-treatment chemicals, weather, and salt corrosion in coastal areas; and for corrosion effects of wood-treatment chemicals by the creation of an electrochemical environment in wood. This criteria is not applicable to fire-retardant-treated wood (FRTW).
WJE laboratories are accredited by ANAB (ISO/IEC 17025) to perform testing standard ICC-ES AC257 for Corrosion-resistant Fasteners and Evaluation of Corrosion Effects of Wood Treatments. Contact us to learn more.
