This is the second of a two-part series on the restoration of the Franklin Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Part 1 focused on the rehabilitation aspects and Part 2 focuses on the structural analysis and accelerated bridge construction methods used to replace the deck. We led the investigation and rehabilitation design and HNTB Corporation led the structural analysis and new deck design. We worked together with Hennepin County and HNTB Corporation on the project and on these articles.
