Experience

Since joining WJE in 2018, Emmett Horton has gained experience on a broad range of projects related to facade failure investigations, construction observation, field quality assurance, condition surveys, and evaluations of new and existing structures.

Mr. Horton’s work has included the investigation and repair design for various building types to address bulk rainwater penetration, condensation, and moisture-related deterioration of above- and below-grade building enclosure materials, components, and systems. These systems have included masonry cavity wall and mass wall construction, precast and cast-in-place concrete, below- and above-grade waterproofing, roofing systems, exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS), curtain wall systems, and aluminum and vinyl windows.
