Sasaki Named Chairperson of California Building Standards Commission Appeals Committee

Reappointed to a third term on the California Building Standards Commission earlier this year, Kent Sasaki, Principal and Unit Manager of WJE's San Francisco office, has now been named Chairperson of the Appeals Committee. The California Building Standards Commission is an independent commission within the State and Consumer Services Agency whose role is to produce building standards and administrative regulations while ensuring that the statewide building code development and adoption process is efficient and effective.

Mr. Sasaki has over twenty-four years of experience investigating a wide variety of structures, particularly related to damage from earthquakes, fire, ground movement, construction-related vibration, blast, and flooding. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master of engineering degree in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
