Doug Smith Honored by ASCE Dallas
WJE Principal Doug Smith has been named the 2017 Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers Dallas Branch. He is a past president of the branch and an active member, currently holding multiple leadership positions.
Mr. Smith joined WJE in 2003 and has over thirty years of experience evaluating, investigating, and designing repairs for pavement systems, civil infrastructure, parking garages, building facades, and a wide variety of materials used in construction. He has particular expertise in solving materials problems related to performance, durability, and compatibility with other materials or systems. He is also the manager of WJE’s Dallas operations.
