This webinar, presented by Don Meinheit, provides an overview of late 19th and early 20th century concrete reinforcement systems. Don will focus on three aspects of concrete construction from this era: a) the forgotten, but not obsolete, variety of reinforcing steel bars, b) the bars systems used for beams, columns, and simple one-way spanning floor slabs, and c) the girderless concrete floor system (two-way flat slabs).
