Paul E. Cox

Experience

Since joining WJE in 1985, Paul Cox has investigated hundreds of structures with design, construction, and materials defects. Mr. Cox has investigated structural and nonstructural damage due to fire, water, or thermal stresses and has evaluated damage due to excessive loading such as wind, earthquake, water ponding, and explosion. His experience includes the evaluation and design of repairs for timber, concrete, masonry, and steel buildings of all sizes, with particular expertise in building envelopes. Mr. Cox also has extensive experience in evaluating and restoring historic structures and has performed standard and nonstandard testing of materials. He has also often been an expert witness in litigation involving structural and building envelope issues.
