Laura D. Howard

Experience

Laura Howard is experienced in the investigation and repair of building envelope systems. She has worked with a variety of materials, including masonry, terra cotta, concrete, glass, and various roofing and waterproofing products. Ms. Howard is involved in condition surveys, moisture infiltration investigations, and field testing to evaluate deterioration and leakage in modern and historic structures. Some of her responsibilities include coordinating and conducting building envelope investigations, providing written repair recommendations, developing construction documents, and providing field observation services and construction administration support during the construction phase.

Prior to joining WJE, Ms. Howard worked at a facade consultant firm in New York City. She gained experience in the development of construction documents and specifications for a variety of buildings, including historically landmarked buildings. Ms. Howard performed construction administration and quality assurance during construction and performed numerous water penetration investigations.
