Kelley I. Vogel

Experience

Kelley Vogel has been involved in a broad range of services encompassing new and existing building enclosures. Her projects include investigation, testing, analysis, design, production of construction documents, and construction phase services. Ms. Vogel has experience with a variety of roofing and enclosure systems and their associated design, critical detailing, and installation requirements.

Prior to joining WJE, Ms. Vogel served two terms as an Americorps volunteer, working as a construction crew leader for Habitat for Humanity and as a Fellow for a Dallas-based community design center. She has worked for a variety of architectural services firms and contributed to multifamily residential, retail, and commercial renovation projects as well as providing LEED project consulting. During her graduate studies, Ms. Vogel worked as a Research Fellow with Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Building Technologies Research & Integration Center and was a contributor to “Precedents in Zero Energy Design” (Zaretsky, Routelege 2009).

  • University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Professional Office Building I - Dallas, TX: Investigation of water intrusion associated with plaza waterproofing and storefront systems

 

Testing and Instrumentation

  • AT&T Performing Arts Center - Dallas, TX: Field adhesion testing of fluid-applied air barrier membrane and comprehensive PVC roof membrane moisture testing for new construction
  • University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Clements University Hospital - Dallas: Performance verification testing of below-grade waterproofing for new construction

 

Facade Assessment

  • University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Zale-Lipshy Hospital - Dallas, TX: Assessment of precast concrete panel cladding and windows
  • Mid-Rise Office Complex - Addison, TX: Prepurchase condition assessment and testing of brick and curtain wall facade

 

Construction Observation Services

  • Laboratory for U.S. Department of Justice - Redstone Arsenal, AL: Construction observation services for new construction including curtain wall, metal panel, and single-ply roofing
  • Ritz-Carlton - Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands: Construction observation services for large-scale stucco repair and roof replacement on existing structures
