Jeffrey W. Neilson

Senior Associate


Jeff Neilson specializes in building envelope waterproofing design and repair, historic preservation, and sustainable design. He has designed, detailed, and overseen the construction of remodeling and repairs at various building types, including high-rise office and residential towers, historic sites, universities, and retail complexes. Mr. Neilson has managed and participated in a wide variety of projects including water intrusion and construction defect investigations, roofing system and wall cladding design, prepurchase and preconstruction surveys, litigation support, and historic preservation design.

Prior to joining WJE in 2005, Mr. Neilson worked for the University of California, Berkeley, where with other projects, he managed a design-build project to remodel the College of Environmental Design’s design studios. He participated in all aspects of the project, including design, preparation of construction documents, and construction management.
