Jason A. Porto

Senior Associate


Jason Porto joined WJE in 2014 and has worked on a variety of projects, including structural evaluations, seismic retrofits, litigation consulting, and repair design. He is proficient in the computer modeling and analysis of existing structures and in the design of unique details for steel-framed, concrete-framed, and reinforced masonry buildings.

During the eight years prior to joining WJE, Mr. Porto worked as a structural designer on projects ranging from single-family timber homes to large-scale commercial structures utilizing steel, concrete, and masonry. His broad-based background has allowed him to quickly integrate with WJE.

  • Hibernia Bank Building - San Francisco, CA: Complex detailing of new stair systems, with emphasis on maintaining historic character of restored 19th-century bank building
  • Westchester Carport Investigation - Fremont, CA: Site investigation and analysis of exterior carport structure; design and detailing of seismic strengthening upgrades


Litigation Consulting

  • Rivermark vs. Shea - Santa Clara, CA: Strength analysis to assess capacity of exterior composite metal and concrete deck damaged by corrosion
