Experience

Jamie Hudson is a structural engineering and building envelope consultant with specialization in facade assessment, repair, and restoration of existing and historic buildings. Since joining WJE in 2016, she has provided professional services for numerous projects involving condition assessments, structural analysis, repair designs, nondestructive testing, and water infiltration testing.

Prior to joining WJE, Ms. Hudson gained three years of experience performing academic research in structural health monitoring and structural intervention in building conservation. Ms. Hudson took part in a research project at Lehigh University to develop a compressive sampling scheme for damage detection and localization on steel structures. Her graduate research at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow involved the evaluation of the structural response of Gothic stone masonry vaults to differential settlement and the suitability of fiber reinforced polymers as an intervention technique.
