David A. Deress



David Deress has focused experience on inspection and investigation of failures of windows, building facades, and roofing problems. This work includes condition surveys, construction defect investigations, and water penetration testing. He performs peer reviews for architects, owners, and contractors, and designs and prepares repair drawings and specifications for windows, building facades, roofs, and general waterproofing. In addition, he often provides observation services during the construction phase.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Deress worked for a number of construction companies. Mr. Deress joined WJE as an intern in 1986 and became a full-time employee while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was based in the Architecture Group at WJE’s Northbrook headquarters until he was promoted in 1998 to Unit Manager of the Seattle office.
