Cal F. Bearman

Associate III


Cal Bearman develops creative solutions to challenging problems for property managers and owners, including providing immediate assessments of structural systems that have been identified as issues by tenants for a global leader in industrial real estate and warehouse logistics management. Mr. Bearman leads structural investigations, evaluations, and design projects. He has conducted field inspections, performed code reviews, completed structural analysis using computer software, designed repairs, and overseen construction administration. Mr. Bearman has worked on projects involving wood, concrete, and steel, and composite structural systems.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Bearman worked as a research assistant at the University of Washington. His research involved identifying key damage states in load bearing reinforced concrete columns for post-earthquake evaluation, and developing a suite of special and ordinary moment frames using the OpenSees analysis platform. Mr. Bearman also took part in a five-term co-op program while at Purdue University, where he gained experience in the heavy civil contracting industry working for Traylor Brothers, Inc.
