Ryan N. Keesbury

Northbrook Facilities Area Lead

Experience

Since joining WJE in 2004, Ryan Keesbury has worked on various materials testing and evaluation projects. Most of his experience is in concrete and aggregate testing, which includes tests such as concrete drying shrinkage, concrete compressive strength, concrete flexural strength, concrete freeze/thaw testing, concrete splitting tensile strength, concrete modulus of elasticity, plastic concrete testing, aggregate gradations, aggregate absorptions and specific gravity, and aggregate sample preparations.

Additionally, Mr. Keesbury’s experience includes trial batching mixture proportions for self-consolidation concrete and high-performance concrete (HPC), sample preparation for petrographic analyses, sample preparation for chloride ion contents, and building test setups and forms. His field experience includes extraction of concrete cores, crack mapping of bridge decks, corrosion potential measurements, and concrete delamination surveys. Mr. Keesbury helps perform equipment calibration and verifications to maintain laboratory accreditation.
