Experience

Robert Kerns has broad-based experience in evaluations, condition surveys, investigations, and water testing of exterior envelope building systems on various structures and facilities. He provides exterior envelope peer review and design assistance services for developers, architects, building owners, and contractors. Mr. Kerns’ expertise also includes below-grade waterproofing, windows and doors, curtain walls, plaza waterproofing, and roofing.

Mr. Kerns also specializes in exterior wall cladding such as portland cement plaster (stucco), EIFS, cement board siding, rain screens, metal panel, stone, and precast concrete. He provides repair and replacement design services for exterior envelope systems. Mr. Kerns’ projects also involve developing construction drawings, specifications, and project bidding and contracting requirements, and he provides litigation support services for construction defect-related cases.,
