Nagle Promoted to Associate Principal
Mr. Nagle is a registered architect with over twenty years of architectural design experience and over nine years of experience in investigating facade and roofing distress. Since joining WJE in 2004, he has performed many condition assessments, water leakage investigations, peer reviews, and developed remedial designs for both contemporary and historic structures involving various cladding materials, including masonry, stone, concrete, terra cotta, windows, curtain wall, stucco, and EIFS. He is also skilled in investigating and developing remedial repair designs for low-slope and steep-slope roofing.
A few of his recent notable projects include cladding repairs to Cleveland State University's Fenn Tower and the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio; investigation and repair of the facade and roofing at the Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial on South Bass Island; and repair design for the Washington Monument's lightning protection system.
Since 2006, Mr. Nagle has been sub-committee secretary and an active member of ASTM International's Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants. He has co-authored a new ASTM standard for field evaluation of building seals and is active in improving standards pertaining to building seals and sealants. In June 2012, ASTM's Committee C24 awarded Mr. Nagle the Lou Toporcer Hall of Fame Award for recognition of distinguished service in stimulation of research, promotion of knowledge, and service to the building industry in the areas of voluntary standardization.
