Larosche Appointed to ACI Technical Activities Committee

 

Principal Carl J. “Chuck” Larosche has been appointed as a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Technical Activities Committee for a three-year term, which will become effective at the conclusion of the ACI 2018 Spring Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ACI Technical Activities Committee manages technical committee activities, oversight of the development of ACI standards, technical content of convention programs, and archival and special publications, including peer-reviewed articles in symposium volumes. Mr. Larosche’s work at ACI includes serving as subcommittee chair of ACI 562 Code Repair as well as of ACI 349 Nuclear Structures and E702 Design of Concrete Structures.

With over thirty years of experience, Chuck Larosche is an industry leader in the fields of preservation and restoration of historic and existing structures, structural design, and investigation and evaluation of existing structures and materials. He has successfully combined his broad construction background with his knowledge of material behavior in existing structures to provide rare insight and knowledge in the area of conventional reinforced concrete, precast and post-tensioned concrete, and steel evaluation, including strengthening and repair of these materials. Mr. Larosche is well known for his contributions to the field of engineering and for mentoring young engineers.
