Cleveland Facade Ordinance Resource

April 12, 2016
The City of Cleveland recently passed a comprehensive facade ordinance that will take effect in early June. Once in effect, the facade of applicable buildings at least fifty years old must have an inspection completed and report filed with the City within one year; buildings between thirty and fifty years old must complete the same within two years. Applicable buildings include those at least 75 feet or five stories above grade, whichever is shorter, and have a protected distance equal to or less than its height.
