Michael Aaron

Experience

Michael Aaron joined WJE in 2016 with more than thirty years of project experience and professional training in fire protection engineering. Mr. Aaron is a known expert in fire protection, design/build work, and construction management for all types of aircraft hangars. He is familiar with a wide range of fire protection challenges and is experienced in project management, code requirements and interpretation, construction inspection, field investigation, testing, and preparing reports, plans and specifications. He is heavily involved with NFPA standards development and has extensive experience with large water supplies, fire pumps, high-expansion and AFFF foam, sprinklers, and fire alarm systems.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Aaron worked at Rolf Jensen & Associates (now Jensen Hughes), where he directed the firms’ Military Projects and Hangar Design Services. During his career at Rolf Jensen, he designed fire suppression and fire alarm systems, performed life safety and code consulting for various facilities, and inspected and tested system installations. Prior to his career at Rolf Jensen, Mr. Aaron was a Fire Protection Engineering Specialist and Mechanical Engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for more than five years.
