James M. Brown

Experience

James Brown is a licensed architect and registered roof consultant experienced in the assessment, investigation, and development of repairs of various structures. His expertise is related to roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems, where he provides his services on commercial buildings, office buildings, multifamily residential buildings, hospitals, schools, convention centers, hotels, and stadiums across the United States.
Mr. Brown has developed repair documents and provided construction administration services for many high-profile projects. He also performs water leakage investigations, storm damage assessments, prepurchase assessments, and design reviews, and provides litigation support and expert services.

Mr. Brown is actively involved with IIBEC, having served on the board for the Georgia chapter and on the IIBEC Chapter Development Committee. He has given several presentations related to roofing and waterproofing issues, including at IIBEC’s national convention, the Building Enclosure Council Symposium, and the Indiana Historic Preservation Conference. Mr. Brown is also a member of WJE’s Difficult Access Team.
