Collin Melton

Experience

Since joining WJE in 2016, Collin Melton has performed numerous structural designs, field investigations, condition assessments, facade assessments, and construction period services. He has completed investigations and analysis involving steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry structural systems. Mr. Melton’s  expertise involves analyzing new structural materials as well as historic, twentieth-century structural materials.

Mr. Melton has been involved with several structural failure investigations. He has provided insurance clients with cause and origin professional opinions, as well as repair recommendations to return the structure to its original service.

  • Starrett City Due Diligence - Brooklyn, NY: Due diligence assessment of select residential buildings; ten-year anticipated repair and maintenance cost plan
  • 75 Clinton Street - Brooklyn, NY: On-site investigations for unsafe multistory concrete masonry unit wall; design and administration of temporary stabilization efforts and permanent overclad
  • Outerbridge Crossing - Perth Amboy, NJ: Corrosion testing and assessment of existing steel rebar within the bridge deck to provide estimated remaining lifespan of bridge
