Jack Janney founded WJE in 1956 as Janney and Associates, a one-man engineering consultancy. More than half a century later, WJE has evolved into a national interdisciplinary firm that has been called upon to solve some of the world's most challenging construction-related problems. Explore our interactive timeline to learn about the projects and milestones that have shaped our rich history. In 2006, WJE celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of its founding. As part of the celebration, a monograph was created to honor the fifty projects judged to be the most significant in the company’s first half century.
